Taylor Swift and Babies
Sep 11, 2024When the morning finally arrived, we got up early. My girls and I ate a good breakfast and then started our elaborate getting ready process.
We even made a trendy video documenting our transformation from sleepy heads to sparkling beauties.
You might be thinking we were getting ready for a wedding…..but nope….
Just the Taylor Swift MOVIE. Not even the concert.
We spent the past month making bracelets, planning outfits, and making sure we knew all the lyrics.
And, phew, the movie and experience did not disappoint. It was EPIC.
Taylor has lit up 2023 in way we haven’t really seen before. Fans are diehard, devoted, and decked out from head to toe in their best representation of their favorite era.
Here at the SC Infant Mental Health Association, we are HUGE fans too.
Of course, we love Taylor, but even more than that…
We are diehard, devoted fans of babies and children.
Everything we do day in, and day out is for our love of babies and our desire to see them thrive.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about “one in six children in the U.S. have one or more developmental disabilities or other developmental delays.”
Developmental monitoring and screening, along with early intervention can improve outcomes for children and families.
That’s why we provide free developmental screenings and access to resources for all children in SC through Help Me Grow.
But we don't just support children, we also support pediatric professionals.
Help Me Grow SC maintains an up-to-date directory of available services that families can plug into and easily access the ones they need. We also connect service providers to each other to create an interconnected system.
We know as a pediatrician or family support professional in the community, you’re on center stage with children and families.
And even as a seasoned, dedicated, and caring provider, you might find:
- Identifying developmental and behavioral concerns is difficult.
- Maintaining resource lists takes a lot of work.
- Facilitating connections to resources is time-consuming.
And that’s where we come in. Let us help you.
We can be the developmental care coordinator for your busy practice.
We’ll support what you’re already doing with developmental monitoring, screening, and referrals.
With our relationship-based approach, we collaborate with professionals like you who serve young children and their families.
Let’s work together to support babies and their future even more than we support our favorite artist. The babies deserve it!
